High Standards of Physical Education

One of our key objectives here at High 5 Sports is to partner with local primary schools to provide high quality physical education and sports coaching, both in school lessons and in established after school clubs.

We believe that our curriculum PE provision for primary schools gives schools the opportunity to maximise their PE budget whilst increasing the activity and learning of children taking part in PE. Quite simply, our teachers come into your school and teach PE lessons across a wide range of sports and activities. For many of the schools we teach in we like to maintain a 1:15 ratio of teachers to children, providing 2 teachers to each class of 30. This enables us to give children more time and attention when teaching and to differentiate effectively for every ability.

Our most popular curriculum is gymnastics and many schools we work with opt to have us teach this across all key stages and year groups for either a 6 or 12 week term. For some schools, those in which we work with all year round, we have the opportunity to teach a range of skills and sports such as Basketball, Touch Rugby, Athletics, Agility and Fundamental skills, and tennis.

Our teachers understand the need for differentiation within a physical education environment and so plan accordingly to meet the needs of each individual in a class. We adopt a variety of teaching styles to ensure every child benefits from every activity, underpinning what we do with relevant theory and appropriate questioning. Finally we provide schemes of work for all sports that we teach, allowing you to further the skills and experience of classroom teachers for future lessons.

We currently have available morning slots for PE on a Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. For more information, please email andrew@high5kent.com or call 07548 294804.
